  • Q:    Where is Teen Court held?
  • A:    Teen court is held at the Midland County Courthouse, 500 N. Loraine.
  • Q:    Where is the Teen Court Office located?
  • A:     Our office is located on 615 W. Missouri Ave. We are on the second floor, room #226 at the end of the hall. There is a sign above our door.
  • Q:    What do I need to do to sign up for Jury Duty?
  • A:    All you need to do is show up at the Courthouse on a court night before 5pm. We will have you fill out a blue form and sign you in at that time.
  • Q:    Where can I do my Community Service for my Case Requirements?
  • A:     You may do your Community Service at any nonprofit organization or Church.
  • Q:    When is my Court Date?
  • A:    Your court date is recorded several times on your contract and on the pages of your intake packet that we send to you when we first open your case.
  • Q:    What do I need to bring to my Court Hearing?
  • A:     You must appear to your court date with a parent or legal guardian unless you are over the age of 18. If you have not turned in your signed contract, bring it and turn it in prior to the beginning of the court session. If you have not paid any court fees, bring them as well.
  • Q:    What are the Dress Requirements for the courtroom?
  • A:     We DO NOT allow shorts in the courtroom. If you show up wearing shorts, we will ask you to change and will not allow you in the courtroom otherwise. We will send you home if you cannot change. We ask that you avoid capris if you can. Do not fold the hems of your jeans past your ankles. Shirts must be tucked in, and pants must be pulled up appropriately. We may dismiss from the court any person who fails to adhere to the dress code.
  • Q:    When can I begin serving my Community Service Hours and Jury Duties?
  • A:     As soon as we enter you into our system, any Community Service Hours or Jury Duties you serve afterwards will count towards your case requirements.
